Adaptive Nippers – Disability Inclusion Training

Surf Life Saving South Australia (SLSSA) is developing resources to support Clubs delivering Adaptive Nippers Programs. The resources will enable children aged 5–13 years with disability, or those who require additional support, to participate in Nippers.

Being involved in the program and receiving the resources is optional but participating clubs will receive:

  • Free Disability Inclusion training with Purple Orange

  • Additional online training courses (through the Member Portal)

  • Physical resources

  • Implementation support from SLSSA

As part of the program, Purple Orange will deliver training to help volunteers build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to support children with disability or additional support needs in Nippers. Clubs delivering the program must have at least one representative attend the training. Sessions are also open to all clubs, including those already offering adaptive or inclusive programs.

Date & Time: October 1st, 5:00pm – 8:00pm

Location: 2 Barcoo Rd, West Beach

Recording: will be available for 2 weeks after the session.
