Officer - Participation and Member development

Surf Life Saving South Australia is seeking a motivated and community-focused Participation Officer to support the delivery of participation programs, member pathways and volunteer engagement initiatives.

In this role, you will work closely with clubs and internal teams to create positive, inclusive experiences that grow membership and strengthen volunteer capability. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of programs, ensuring they run smoothly and that clubs receive practical, timely support.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about community development, volunteering and creating engaging member experiences.

SLSSA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and delivers a range of nationally accredited training courses to businesses and organisations and members of the general public across South Australia.  These courses include First Aid and CPR, Pool Lifeguard, SA Boat Licence, Community Surf Rescue Certificate and a range of training for our volunteer members.

Looking for a rewarding role with flexibility? We offer a range of hours to suit your lifestyle — whether you’re available one day a week or prefer weekend work.

We are looking for casual trainers to join our team to assist with the facilitation of one or more of the following courses:

  • First Aid

  • CPR

  • Pool Lifeguard

  • Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
