COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROJECT OFFICER (18-Month Contract)

The Community Engagement Project Officer will work as part of the Community Programs team. They will demonstrate strong drive and commitment to engaging targeted at-risk groups including Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and First Nations participants in inclusive community programs. The Community Engagement Project Officer will collaborate with and support other departments across Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA) to assist with the effective delivery of inclusive programs that increase water safety awareness and participation across the state.

SLSSA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and delivers a range of nationally accredited training courses to businesses and organisations and members of the general public across South Australia.  These courses include First Aid and CPR, Pool Lifeguard, SA Boat Licence, Community Surf Rescue Certificate and a range of training for our volunteer members.

We are looking for casual trainers to join our team to assist with the facilitation of one or more of the following courses:

  • First Aid

  • CPR

  • Pool Lifeguard

  • Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
