General Manager - Education & Training

The General Manager Education & Training is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and holds strategic responsibility for the management, development and success of SLSSA’s education and training portfolio, including both member-based training and commercial training.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership across all areas of education and training delivery, including volunteer development, commercial programs, and compliance as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The General Manager Education & Training is responsible for ensuring high-quality, integrated training services that build SLSSA’s internal capability, enhance community safety, and support the organisation’s financial sustainability.

Partnerships & Events Officer

The Partnerships and Events Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of SLSSA’s partnerships, sponsorships, and events, including assistance with Surf Sport carnivals and championships. This role plays a key part in activating and servicing existing sponsors and partners, supporting the development of new partnership opportunities, and planning and delivering high-quality events and activations.

Working closely with the General Manager Marketing & Partnerships, the Media & Communications Coordinator, and the SLSSA Sports team, the officer will oversee stakeholder communication, benefit and asset delivery, branding and signage, event planning and logistics, event setup and pack down, and post-event reporting.

Success in this role requires strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively and collaboratively with internal teams, clubs, sponsors, and external stakeholders.

Community Programs Officer

The Community Programs Officer is a vital member of the Community & Aquatic Programs team, supporting the delivery of SLSSA’s flagship initiatives including Surf Babies, VACSWIM, and other beach, river and lake programs across the state. With a focus on connecting communities and promoting water safety, this role plays a key part as we aim to reach more than 50,000 South Australian children each year.

Based at Surf Central, this full-time permanent position is responsible for program administration, stakeholder engagement, and providing exceptional customer service to participants and families. The Community Programs Officer will also contribute to strengthening community connections with SLSSA clubs, support program delivery, and assist with promotional activities to expand the reach and impact of our water safety initiatives.

Pool Lifeguard & First Aid Trainers - CASUAL

SLSSA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and delivers a range of nationally accredited training courses to businesses and organisations and members of the general public across South Australia.

Courses include First Aid and CPR, Pool Lifeguard, SA Boat Licence, Community Surf Rescue Certificate and a range of training for our volunteer members.

This position is responsible to deliver and assess the courses SLSSA offers under its scope as a registered training organisation, with a primary focus on the successful conduct of Pool Lifeguard courses delivered at aquatic facilities across SA.

This is a casual position.
