Members Education

We support our members to acquire the skills and knowledge they need to fulfil their club duties and progress their journey through the surf lifesaving disciplines.

Member education plays a critical role in Surf Life Saving, as it touches every aspect of the movement. Without supporting members with their development, we would not have athletes on the beach competing, members supporting Junior participation, and most importantly, qualified and skilled members to patrol our beaches

You can find all the essential members education resources here including our course catalogue, credit transfer applications, learner portal login and handbooks. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please get in touch.

Each year, SLSA sets what needs to be covered in Skills Maintenance for each award. This is an annual requirement to keep SLS awards current, and each award expires on December 31 every year.
