FUTURE LIFESAVERS PROGRAM
WHYALLA: OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2026 | MURRAY BRIDGE: NOVEMBER - MARCH 2027
Thanks to the generous support of the Office of Sport, Recreation and Racing, Surf Life Saving SA is partnering with Murray Bridge Life Saving Club and Whyalla Surf Life Saving Club, local pools, schools, and Aboriginal support organisations to bring you the Future Lifesavers Program.
This FREE program is designed for 13–15 year-olds* and combines both pool, ocean and/ or river based swim lessons. Participants who successfully complete the program will earn their Surf Rescue Certificate, a nationally recognised qualification that enables recipients to become official Surf Lifesavers.
Each location is capped at 20 participants per cohort. Expressions of interest for the Whyalla and Murray Bridge programs are open! Scroll down and complete the form for your location.
*Please note: Participants must be 13 years old at the time of assessment.

SWIMMING LESSONS
Structured pool, river and beach sessions to help participants improve technique and develop confidence in the water, preparing them for safe activities in open water.
LIFESAVING SKILLS
Ocean and river sessions introduce essential lifesaving techniques, including hazard awareness and rescue skills, giving participants the confidence to act safely in real situations.
SURF RESCUE CERTIFICATE
Participants who complete the program earn their nationally recognised Surf Rescue Certificate, enabling them to become official Surf Lifesavers and volunteer in their community.
