CALLING ALL YEAR 9-12 SURF LIFESAVERS
SACE RECOGNITION
Surf Life Saving South Australia (SLSSA) are pleased to provide multiple avenues for our members to be recognised for their contribution to our volunteer movement. SLSSA have a proud history of offering programs that meet the criteria for South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) Awards, Recognition and Credits. Below are the programs run by SLSSA that are recognised by SACE.
YOUTH/CORE OFFICIALS SACE COURSE
Eligibility
Current Surf Life Saving members that are studying year 9-12.
Benefit
Successful completion of the program will result in 10 Stage 2 SACE credits.
Cost
$100 (incl. GST) administration fee
Timeframe
Participants are required to complete the program in one Surf Life Saving Season (Ideally October - April).
Content
ASC Community Officiating Essential Skills Course
SLSA “Introduction to Officiating Surf Sport” eLearning
Working with Children Check
Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport
SLSA Child Safe Environments eLearning
Attend a mandatory face to face New Officials workshop
Complete and submit the required on-beach practical officiating logbook hours at a combination of club nipper trainings, sessions and/or carnivals.
