TAF Re-endorsement
Each year, all Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators (TAF) must update their Training Officer and Assessor awards to continue operating in these roles. This process ensures that not only are all TAF are undertaking Personal Development, but you also meet the TAE and Surf Award requirements.
Ideally, you complete the steps (outlined below) at the start of the season, but it must be done before 31 Dec each year so that you can carry on training and assessing into the new year without interruption. After 31 Dec, if you do not re-endorse, you should not be involved with training or assessing.
YOUR STEPS
Below is a recommended sequence for you to complete the re-endorsement process, but steps can be done in any order.

Your CPR (12 months) and First Aid (three years) qualifications are current.

If any of these items are not valid, Member Education will contact you directly to discuss.

In most cases, this is because they haven’t been endorsed for the new calendar year. They have either not submitted the form or there has been a hold up in the processing of their form. Ie Provide First Aid is out of date; they are waiting for an updated Working with Children Check.
If they haven’t submitted the form, as a Chief Instructor, you can either promoted them to submit the form or complete on their behalf.
If we are waiting for a requirement to be provided, they can’t be leading any training or conducting any assessments until this is processed.
