TAF Re-endorsement
Each year, all Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators (TAF) must update their Training Officer and Assessor awards to continue operating in these roles. This process ensures that not only are all TAF are undertaking Personal Development, but you also meet the TAE and Surf Award requirements.
Ideally, you complete the steps (outlined below) at the start of the season, but it must be done before 31 Dec each year so that you can carry on training and assessing into the new year without interruption. After 31 Dec, if you do not re-endorse, you should not be involved with training or assessing.

Below is a recommended sequence for you to complete the re-endorsement process, but steps can be done in any order.

You will need to complete the TAF online PD. Please note that you only need to have completed one of the prerequisites, not both.
If you were not endorsed in 2025, or experience any difficulties with submitting the form, please email Member Education at member.ed@surflifesavingsa.com.au.
If your Provide First Aid or CPR units aren’t appearing as current but you’ve completed recent training with us, please get in touch. Our team will be happy to review and update your status. As Surf Guard does not automatically sync with SLSSA commercial courses, some updates need to be completed manually and may occasionally be overlooked.
