In the mean-time veteran surf lifesaver Stephen Fry (60 years) of Queensland’s BMD Northcliffe SLSC and Team Manager for the Queensland Cyclones took to the blocks at the South Australian Aquatic Centre yesterday to challenge his own world record in the 100m Obstacle Swim.
The master has now proven to have gotten even faster in 2018 breaking his own 2017 world record.
What followed was a stand-out swim that saw Stephen, a multiple world record holder, successfully smashing his 2017 record out of the water 1:08:46 100 by a whopping 45 seconds, making 1.08.01 the new benchmark for the 100m Obstacle Swim.
