TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Upskill Program
Are you already an Assessor with Surf? Would you like to take your skills to the next level and become a Facilitator?
This upskill program gives you the remaining units of competence that you need to gain your full TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, allowing you to:
Train and assess surf awards independently
Assess the people you train (no need to organise an external Assessor!)
Take up paid employment opportunities with SLSSA – we are always on the look-out for qualified people to join our Commercial training team
Embark on a professional training career with other employers
Course Structure
The course has two parts:
Online orientation session (approx. 2hrs). Takes you through the requirements and expectations and work required prior to F2F workshop.
F2F Workshop (2 days) – held approx. 6 weeks after the orientation session, dates determined with participant input. The workshop will cover half of the training sessions you are required to facilitate and prepares you to deliver the remaining sessions.
Follow up support is available for the remainder of course duration.
Course Duration
The program can be completed over a flexible 9-month period, giving you the opportunity to deliver some of your sessions at your club. SLSA and SLSSA will provide ongoing support to help you progress smoothly and complete the requirements as quickly and efficiently as possible.
WHen
The course will run in the off-season. We will negotiate specific dates with the people who express interest in undertaking this course.
