Become a Member
People from all walks of life become involved with Surf Lifesaving. Surf Lifesaving is a movement built on volunteers who love giving back to their community, looking for fun, fitness and new challenges.
There are several ways you can get involved with surf lifesaving, not all of which involve donning the red and yellow. You don't have to be 6 feet tall. You don't have to get up every morning and train. You don't even have to get your toes wet.
Become a Surf Lifesaver
Being a surf lifesaver is satisfying, fun and rewarding. You can lead a fit and healthy lifestyle, gain new skills and qualifications, compete in surf sports events, make new friends, and give back to your local community. You may even save someone's life one day.
Children’s Programs
Surf Lifesaving SA offers specially designed programs for children from just one year old. Our fun play-based programs offer children and their families an opportunity to learn about beach safety. Through early education, we help children develop lifelong water safety skills and habits.
Join the Nippers
Our Nippers program is for children over five years old. It is a great way to introduce your child to new friends, to be part of a community for life, and just simply to have fun!
Surf lifesaving is a great activity for growing a child’s confidence, as well as providing a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in the beach environment.
Become a Volunteer
Volunteers are essential to what we do. Not only do volunteers deliver the majority of our programs and services, but they are also vital to Surf Sports and the day to day running of the local Clubs.
Donate to Our Cause
When you donate money to surf lifesaving, you are part of surf lifesaving and the work we do. You help us keep the beach safe. You help us train people in CPR, First Aid and Rescue. You are directly contributing to saving lives.
