Community Programs Administrator
Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA) is the peak organisations for Surf Life Saving in South Australia and is affiliated with Surf Life Saving Australia.
SLSSA is responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of Surf Life Saving throughout South Australia and has the responsibility for servicing its 9,000 members and 22 clubs.
Reporting to the Education and Training Manager the Community Programs Administrator will support the implementation of Surf Life Saving SA’s long term strategies to develop and deliver community water safety initiatives and surf education programs that support our vision to save lives and build healthier and safer communities. This role will be integral with growing our current programs and introducing new programs and initiatives to the benefit of our movement and the South Australian Community.
SLSSA is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to support the delivery of our community programs.
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Assist the Community Programs Officer to coordinate all community water safety programs in line with funding requirements, which will include but not limited to;
Surf Babies and Little Lifesavers
Sea Sure Swim School
Wiltja and APY Lands
Surf Education/Beach Safety Presentation
Provide support to the Community Programs Officer;
Provide support in developing initiatives to grow our community programs;
Collect, analyse and interpret program data;
Assist in producing and implementing policies, protocols, operating procedures standards, and system in relation to program outcomes;
Work with Community Partners and interest groups on SLSSA’s inclusion and diversity programs;
Provide administrative support in recruiting and overseeing program instructors and their administration;
Other general duties as required.
Personal Attributes and Requirements
Excellent phone/email communication and computer literacy skills;
Considerate and a well-mannered team player;
Able to work under general supervision, using initiative and being accountable for their own work;
Will prioritise work efficiently and work within deadlines;
Prior experience working with the beach VACSWIM program is highly desirable;
Active Surf Lifesaving member highly desirable;
Current drivers licence;
Current Working with Children Check mandatory and National Police Check.
This part-time position will commence with 30 hours per week (set times open to discussion).
After hours /weekend work may be required to meet the demands of program delivery.
