South Australia’s FIRST Summer of Surf event

Surf Life Saving SA is proud to host its first Summer of Surf event - the Glenelg Sprint Challenge - on Saturday December 9 at Glenelg.

The Glenelg Sprint Challenge will see U14, U15, U17 and Open athletes compete in the following categories:

  • Twilight Beach Flags

  • 6 Person Mixed Taplin (Open)

  • 4 Person Mixed Cameron (U15, U17)

  • Mixed Beach Relay (U15, U17, Open)

  • Swim

  • Board

  • Ski

  • Iron

  • Beach Sprints

Points

Athletes can claim up to 5000 points in the Glenelg Sprint Challenge

Prize pool

A total prize pool of $7,000 is up for grabs. There is also a $1,000 prize pool to be shared by any Open competitor who wins 3 out of 4 ocean events or 2 out of 2 beach events.

Event schedule

The event commences at 11:00am and will include a dedicated ‘Fan Zone’.

The official After Party will follow at the Glenelg Boat Shed Bar from 7:00pm.
