eLearning

The required eLearning is located in the SLS Members Area/eLearning/SLS - Emergency Care/Resuscitation Online Theory Assessment

Skills Maintenance Requirements

Members are required to participate in SLS Skills Maintenance to maintain the award. Please refer to the yearly State and National updates regarding tasks and requirements.

Please note, Skills Maintenance ONLY updates the award and not the associated units of competency (which is only current for 12months).

To update the CPR unit, members can either complete a commercial CPR course with SLSSA or an external provider; or enrol and complete the SLS Resuscitation Award assessment, which is managed and delivered at club level

·       Financial club member

·       Observers Award Proficient

·       Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

o   This must be held prior to sitting the course. We can not legally issue the qualification if the member’s PFA Certificate was issued after the assessment.

o   If a member has gain the qualification with an external provider, this evidence can be submitted to Member Education via First Aid Credit Transfer Request Form [link: https://www.surflifesavingsa.com.au/member-credit-transfer-form ]

·       At least 15 years at time of assessment
