Surf Babies and Little Lifesavers - Program 1 Saturdays (14th Jan to 18th Feb 2017)

Surf Babies and Little Life Savers is a water confidence and aquatic safety program specifically designed for young beach lovers and their families. Adults will gain confidence taking young children to the beach by learning how to identify hazards, how to respond to a beach-based emergency and how to supervise children appropriately in the open water.

The 4 keys areas of learning are:

Education: Sun safety and water education
Water: Fundamental water skills
Beach: Coordination and movement skills
First Aid: CPR and basic first aid knowledge

The surf babies program in nature is more freedom orientated, whilst the Little Life Savers program is structured and allows for the instructor to direct both parent and child.

The program will be held at 4 locations in 2017:

  • Semaphore Surf Life Saving Club
  • Henley Surf Life Saving Club
  • Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club
  • Christies Beach Surf Life Saving Club
