The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service (WLRHS) has moved its operations from its former city base at Harbour Town to the Aldinga Aerodrome in an effort to cut response times on the South Coast and Fleurieu Peninsula.

Surf Life Saving SA hopes to see their Volunteer Patrol Force reach record levels of coverage this summer with numbers of patrolling lifesavers expected to reach in excess of 3000 for the first time in history. The commitment of Patrolling Members has been steadily increasing for the past decade and Surf Lifesaving SA hope to see the community investment continue.

Surf Life Saving Club newbie Deborah Wareing (61 years) of South Australia’s West Beach SLSC has managed to break not one, but two International Life Saving World Records at the 2018 National Pool Rescue Championships currently being held in Adelaide this weekend.
Deborah completed her Bronze Medallion and joined West Beach Surf Life Saving Club in 2017 and is now the proud world record holder of both the 100m Obstacle Swim and the 100m Manikin Tow with Fins events.Read More
